Anise Seed Oil
Anise seed essential oil has a fragrant licorice scent and provides several health benefits when inhaled or applied to the body. The majority of aniseed oil is made up of a compound called anethole which is responsible for many of its benefits, including its anti-microbial, decongestant, anti-spasmodic and pain-relieving properties.
Directions for use
Before being applied externally, anise seed oil should be diluted with a carrier oil like coconut, sweet almond or jojoba oil. Massage the oil into muscles and joints to relieve muscle aches, spasms and arthritic pain.
Inhale anise seed oil to relieve the symptoms of allergies, colds, flu, coughs and other respiratory problems by adding a few drops to an oil diffuser. It can also be diffused in your home to repel mosquitoes and other insects.
To prevent and treat infections and pain you can apply a few drops to skin wounds or add it to warm water for a mouthwash.
Anise seed oil can be massaged through the hair to naturally treat lice.
