Wheat Germ Oil
Wheat germ oil, extracted from wheat grain kernels, is a nutritious oil that is most famous for its Vitamin E content. This makes it a good source of anti-oxidants that help to control free radical damage when used internally and topically. When consumed internally this oil may help to prevent heart disease and reduce inflammatory symptoms. Used topically, wheat germ oil is easily absorbed into the skin and doesn’t block the pores. It can treat dryness, heal scars and reduce signs of aging.
Directions for use
Wheat germ oil can be used in place of other vegetable oils and drizzled over salads, vegetables, and meat dishes, or consumed as a supplement by taking 1 teaspoon per day.
It has a strong aroma so it should be mixed in a ratio of 10:1 with another carrier oil when used topically. Massage this mixture into the hair, scalp, and skin for a hydrating and nourishing treatment.
